Human Resources maintains a supportive role within the overall mission of Shawnee State University
Human Resources' (HR) mission is to provide exceptional employee services, and present leadership and guidance on strategic and key operational affairs. HR is dedicated to maintaining a strong partnership with the University community, developing more effective and efficient processes, strengthening the capability of the University's labor, policy, and compliance infrastructure, and focusing on staff development opportunities.



2018 Open Enrollment

Benefit Open Enrollment is being held through November 17, 2017.  During this Open Enrollment period, all full-time (benefit-eligible) employees have the opportunity to enroll, terminate, or add/drop dependents from the SSU health plan.  You also have the opportunity to enroll in voluntary benefit plans. All elections made during the annual Open Enrollment period will become effective January 1, 2018.  

We are excited to announce that 2018 open enrollment activities will occur in BearTrax. All elections must be made by the close of business on Friday, November 17, 2017.

2018 Retirement Incentive Program

The University is offering a retirement incentive program to bargaining unit employees who are eligible for retirement and retire on or before June 1, 2018. Applications for inclusion in the Shawnee State Retirement Incentive Program will be accepted beginning October 16, 2017 through November 30, 2017.  Specific details about the Shawnee State Retirement Incentive and the application are below.
